Top Week 13 Daily Fantasy Plays for FanDuel and DraftKings

We are down to about two months of fantasy football before it returns to hibernation until next August. This week DraftKings features a 100th Millionaire special contest. Their 100th millionaire will win a Roman Millionaire Maker that features a $100 entry, 44,400 entries, and $4,000,000 in total prizes… is that under 10% rake on a Millionaire Maker?!?

In addition to the huge prize pool, seven figure top prize, and low rake, they are going to be giving away free entries in every slate, for every sport this week. This includes vouchers that you can win in free contests across every sport DraftKings offers. Here is the direct quote from a DraftKings representative:

Week 13 Quarterback Picks

Jared Goff

DraftKings Price – $6,200 | FanDuel Price – $8,400 | Yahoo Price – $37
Sean McVay is going to have a field day watching film of this Lions defense and all of the mismatches he should be able to exploit in their secondary. Not only is this one of the best matchups in the slate, but it’s arguably Goff’s best matchup in the past month… a stretch that has seen him average over 31 DraftKings PPG.

Jameis Winston

DraftKings Price – $6,000 | FanDuel Price – $7,500 | Yahoo Price – $27
Winston is a tough player to price in DFS. He has only played four complete games this season, but is averaging over 25 DraftKings PPG in those games. We wrote early this season (preseason?) that the Carolina secondary was one of the more overrated units in football. James Bradberry is solid, but not an elite traveling corner, the rest of the group has been getting exposed weekly. After a hot start they have fallen all the way down to 26th in DVOA against the pass. We know the Panthers should put up points on the Bucs defense, so look for Winston to throw it a bunch in an effort to keep pace with Cam and the Panthers.

Week 13 Running Back Picks

Aaron Jones

DraftKings Price – $6,700 | FanDuel Price – $7,600 | Yahoo Price – $26
On an offense that currently lacks game changing weapons, Aaron Jones is a guy that the Packers know needs a bigger role and more touches. He has averaged just under 20 touches per game over his past four, and has seen at least four targets over that stretch. He’s averaging just under 27 PPG over his last three, and clearly this matchup with a Cardinals run defense that is giving up 145 rushing yards per game and has allowed 16 rushing touchdowns so far this year.

Phillip Lindsay

DraftKings Price – $5,400 | FanDuel Price – $7,000 | Yahoo Price – $28
Lindsay saw a season high snap share in week 12 and this week takes to snaps to Cincinnati to face the collapsing Bengals defense. Cinci is now giving up just under 150 YPG, have allowed 14 rushing touchdowns on the season, and are giving up a healthy 4.7 YPC. Having reached 4x value in 3 of his last 4 games, Lindsay in in position to make it 4 out of 5 this week.

Gus Edwards

DraftKings Price – $4,800 | FanDuel Price – $6,400 | Yahoo Price – $20
Edwards might be the polar opposite of Lindsay, but has been just as impressive over the past two weeks. Edwards is now averaging 5.4 YPC on the season and faces a Falcons defense that ranks 31st in DVOA vs the run and are giving up a healthy 5.1 YPC. Clearly Harbaugh and company don’t want to get into a shootout with the Atlanta offense, so we expect to see them attack the weakness of the Atlanta defense and play keep away from Matt Ryan.

Doug Martin

DraftKings Price – $4,200 | FanDuel Price – $6,100 | Yahoo Price – $20
The Raiders must be gunning for that #1 pick…. You have a defense that can’t stop anybody, a quarterback that is beyond struggling and is apparently scared to death behind his offensive line, yet are basically refusing to hand the ball to Martin. Martin has averaged just under 5 YPC since taking over for the injured Lynch, and clearly there is no path forward in terms of throwing to keep pace with the Chiefs who are going to score at will here. Martin should have 15 carries by half time, which would be good for fantasy owners as KC is giving up over 5 YPC and are dead last in DVOA vs the run.

Week 13 Wide Receiver Picks

Tyreek Hill

DraftKings Price – $9,100 | FanDuel Price – $8,400 | Yahoo Price – $38
I rarely, if ever, pay up for receivers priced $9,000 or more, but Hill is the exception this week. With Watkins out and questions surrounding Hunt, Hill should get a bunch of targets, and is averaging 32 DraftKings PPG when he hits double-digit targets on the season. I think Kelce will be the more popular pick this week (Raiders 32nd in DVOA vs TE’s) but given the work load and roll Hill is on, I don’t see any way the Oakland secondary keeps him in check this week.

Robert Woods

DraftKings Price – $6,900 | FanDuel Price – $7,300 | Yahoo Price – $26
This is another spot I think the public will be wrong this week. Given the fact that Woods should technically see plenty of Darius Slay, I think fantasy owners will lean towards who they perceive as the slot receiver here. However, Reynolds has been lining up outside and Cooks has never been in the slot for the Rams. Woods has taken the lion’s share of the inside receiver targets, and McVay should be able to hide him from Slay and create mismatches with Nevin Lawson and Mike Ford. I think all four Rams targets (Woods, Cooks, Reynolds, Gurley) are solid starts this week, which I suppose means you need to get Goff in your week 13 lineups.

Chris Godwin

DraftKings Price – $3,900 | FanDuel Price – $5,400 | Yahoo Price – $17
If Desean Jackson is out, Godwin becomes a must start this week. Bradberry will travel with Mike Evans, which means plenty of space for Godwin and Humphries this week as they work against the rest of that porous Panthers secondary.

On a similar note, If Jake Kumerow ends up being moved onto the 53 man roster I would keep an eye on him this week. Obviously you can’t start him now, but Rodgers clearly doesn’t trust his rookie receivers yet and this offense needs weapons with Cobb banged up and Allison out.

Week 13 Tight End Picks

Eric Ebron

DraftKings Price – $4,200 | FanDuel Price – $5,600 | Yahoo Price – $21
He has been a lock all season… with Doyle in and out of the lineup. Obviously the matchup isn’t phenomenal, but the lowest DVOA the Jags secondary has is against opposing tight ends. Luck and Reich have it all figured out, and they will find a way to rack up yards and points, and I think Ebron scores again this week as a result.

Matt Lacosse

DraftKings Price – $2,500 | FanDuel Price – $4,700 | Yahoo Price – $10
If you are looking for a complete punt, I like Lacosse a lot this week. The matchup is great, he will see a 100% snap count, and is the only pass catching tight end left on a team that has thrown to the tight end a bunch as of late. Lacosse is the minimum salary on DraftKings and just $200 over minimum on FanDuel this week.
