With the final week of regular season football behind us, and a loaded 10 game slate, all eyes will be on the NBA tonight. Here are our top plays for tonight’s contests:
Russell Westbrook – $10,700
Westbrook is a monster every night… He’s an especially lethal monster when Durant sits. The Kings are obviously a plus matchup, and Westbrook put up a triple-double on them last month with Durant active. He’s our top play on FanDuel tonight.
Ray McCallum – $3,500
With Tony Parker out, we are taking a shot with Ray McCallum tonight. McCallum is a guy that, given minutes, can stuff a stat sheet in a hurry. He shredded the D league in his time there, and we wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see Pop keep Mills in his role and give McCallum the start tonight. Spurs beat reporter Jeff MacDonald did say that McCallum got extended one on one coaching after the Spurs practice this morning. McCallum too much of a risk? We get that, if Conley sits Chalmers is a lock to hit value tonight and is only $700 more at $4,200.
Klay Thompson – $7,600
Thompson has gone over 40 on FanDuel in 4 of his last 8 games, and tonight will face our #1 SG matchup in the Hornets. Curry should be at-best limited in this matchup, so Thompson should get plenty of looks in the Warriors half court offense.
Evan Turner – $5,400
Avery Bradley has only missed two full games this season (and portions of others), but has missed 7 over the last two seasons and Turner has seen a considerable jump in minutes and usage in each contest. Brooklyn struggles with defending shooting guards, are one of the most inefficient defensive teams in the NBA (105 pts per 100 poss) and their pace could jump with Larkin replacing Jack at PG.
Draymond Green – $9,700
Pulling up Draymond’s 10 game log is just about all you need to see to know he’s the hottest player going in daily fantasy. We don’t expect hime to repeat the 29/17/14/4/1 show he put on against the Nuggest last time out, but he and Westbrook are clearly the best bets over $9,000 to hit 5x+ value on FanDuel tonight.
Aaron Gordon – $3,800
Gordon continues to make his fair share of really dumb plays, but is so efficient the Magic staff is going to have a hard time keeping him off the floor. We have seen his minutes climb to over 25 over the Magic’s last three games, and another 25+ against the league’s most-favorable PF matchup should yield 6+x value for his $3,800 salary.
Brook Lopez – $8,700
Lopez has been in the 5x-7x value range in 6 of his last 7 games, and tonight faces the Celtics who are giving up over 50 PPG to opposing centers over the last three weeks. We like Towns, Gasol, Kanter… but the safest bet of the group is Lopez, and given the value we have in other spots you should have no problem affording him along with the other three players over $7,600 we are targeting tonight.
