Targets for Tuesday Night NBA Contests on DraftKings
It’s Tuesday night, which means, unless you are into Maction, no fantasy football. Luckily we have a nice 7 game slate of DraftKings NBA action to keep us busy… Let’s start by taking a look at the full slate, and the top Vegas team totals for tonight:
DraftKings Tuesday Night NBA Guard Picks
DraftKings Salary – $5,200
Coming off of four days of rest, I expect a much busier night for Holiday against Dallas tonight. He’s a legit top-level daily fantasy option when healthy and getting a full work load, but injuries have capped his minutes and DraftKings salary this season. If he does play close to 30 minutes, I think he’s a lock to go for 35+ fantasy points against the
DraftKings Salary – $5,800
Middleton’s shooting better, and saw a nice bump in usage with MCW out Saturday when he put up 36 DraftKings points while only taking 6 shots. I expect Middleton to see a lot of Evan Turner tonight, which should allow him to have a big offensive night… There is a reason the Celtics allow the 5th most PPG to opposing shooting guards. The pace of the game here should provide a nice boost to his numbers as well, Milwaukee plays as slow as any team in the league, but Boston is by far the most up-tempo team in league which should push the number of Bucks possessions closer to the mean.
DraftKings Salary – $3,300
Joseph is yet to have the type of game we expected to see from him this season, as he seems to get multiple steals, blocks, rebounds, and assists in any given game, but hasn’t had a game where he seems to contribute across the board. With Lowry and Derozan on the floor, his usage will remain low all season, but he’s shooting 56% and does have the ability to fill the stat sheet and give you a 25 point night out of a minimum player. If you are looking for a potential put to play both Durant and Davis tonight, Joseph is a fairly safe play in a solid matchup.
DraftKings Tuesday Night NBA Forward Picks
DraftKings Salary – $10,700
We have been paying up for Russell Westbrook nearly every time he’s available this season, but this is one night where I think Durant and Davis make more sense. Durant has the more favorable matchup over Westbrook in the Thunder/Wizards game, and Davis has an even better playing Dallas at home. Dirk and co have given up 51 PPG to opposing power forwards this season, and Davis is just four days out from his best game of the season, a 75.5 DraftKings explosion last Friday.
DraftKings Salary – $5,600
While I prefer Davis, I am hedging those lineups with a Durant/Anderson combination. Anderson is averaging nearly 5.5x value this season, and benefits from the same mismatches that Davis will take advantage of in this one. In fact when he’s in the lineup, generally Davis shifts over to play the 5 spot, so Anderson could stand to benefit from the matchup even more than AD. Coming off from his best game of the season, Anderson looks like the second best PF on the slate tonight.
DraftKings Salary – $3,700
Corresponding directly to seeing his playing time jump up to 33 minutes per game, Winslow has averaged just over 5x value over the past week+. Getting the Lakers at home obviously will give his productivity a nice boost as LA is in the top 5 in pace and dead last in defensive efficiency, resulting in them being in the bottom five in DvP for 4 out of 5 positions.
DraftKings Tuesday Night NBA Center Picks
DraftKings Salary – $7,600
The Lakers attempt the 10th most FG’s in the NBA, but are dead last in FG% which creates a ton of defensive rebounding opportunities. Facing a frontline of Hibbert/Black/Randle/Bass, this may be Whiteside’s first 20 rebound game of the 2015-2016 season. He did have 25 in his last meeting with the Lakers…
DraftKings Salary – $5,800
Pachulia is averaging over 5x value on the season and has been over 6x in 3 of his last 4 games. It doesn’t matter which combination of his 6 sub-mediocre front court players Stevens rolls out there, ZaZa should be able to put up a double-double against any of them.
