It’s hard to believe week 15 is already here, and we are just over a month away from relying on the NBA and PGA for our fantasy entertainment, while we start the countdown to the 2018-2019 fantasy season. Let’s make the most of it by winning some money this week. Here are our favorite plays for the Thursday – Monday FanDuel and DraftKings NFL Week 15 slates.
Top Stacks for NFL Week 15
Drew Brees / Michael Thomas
FanDuel Combined Salary – $16,500 | DraftKings Combined Salary – $13,900
The Saints face a Jets defense that has given up the most fantasy points to opposing QB’s over the past month. Adding to the Jets problems, they will be on the road in New Orleans with their backup QB. This one will get ugly, but I think it’s the Saints passing attack that carries the load as Payton takes it somewhat easy on Kamara as he comes out of concussion protocol.
Cam Newton / Devin Funchess / Christian McCaffrey
FanDuel Combined Salary – $22,100 | DraftKings Combined Salary – $19,000
The Packers secondary is a dumpster fire, and this is a must win home game for the Panthers. Look for Funchess to find the end zone for the fifth time in the last five game and for McCaffrey to have a bounce back game against Green Bay who allows the second most rec and sixth most receiving YPG to opposing backs.
Also worth a look: Garoppolo and Marquise Goodwin. The Tennessee secondary is porous and Shanahan and Garappolo should be locked in at home.
Stafford with Tate and Jones. These guys have been on an absolute tear, and are in a must win situation at home where they are always solid.
Wilson and Baldwin. These two look unstoppable, particularly so considering Wilson is coming off a two game stretch that saw him put up nearly 50 points against the Jags and Eagles, two extremely good defenses.
Lastly, Ryan with Freeman, Julio, and Sanu. Maybe asking a bit much for all four guys to reach value, but the Falcons should be able to run the score up on a collapsing Tampa defense that will be without Gerald McCoy.
Top RB Picks for Week 15
FanDuel Price – $7,500 | DraftKings Price – $6,900
Jordan Howard was fade for us against the 49ers and Eagles and only saw 20 carries for 48 yards over those two games. Following those two performances, I highly doubt he was on many radars against the Bengals in week 14, and of course he went off for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Lions front 7 is right there with the Bucs as the worst in football, and they can’t stop anyone right now so 25 carries should mean a 30 plus point performance from Howard this week.
FanDuel Price – $7,400 | DraftKings Price – $7,100
I thought Hunt would have a monster game against the Jets when Nagy took over play calling duties, but Alex Smith got insanely hot and that game unexpectedly turned into a shootout. The bounce back happened in a big way against the Raiders with Hunt going for 138 total yards and a touchdown. He gets a dream matchup, at home, in week 15 against a Chargers defense that has led the NFL in YPC allowed throughout this season.
FanDuel Price – $7,000 | DraftKings Price – $6,200
Another guy that had a decent bounce back week in week 14 was Devonta Freeman. After failing to score for almost half of the season, he put up 91 yards and found the end zone against the Saints. With Coleman still on the mend, look for Freeman to be the focal point of the Falcons offense as they travel to Tampa to face a team who’s season is over and that just lost Gerald McCoy for what looks like may be the rest of the season.
FanDuel Price – $7,300 | DraftKings Price – $6,500
Also worth keeping an eye on: Jamaal Williams has score 5 touchdowns in the last five games and this matchup with the Panthers isn’t as bad as you may expect they are giving up nearly 5 YPC and 24 PPG to opposing backs over the past month.
FanDuel Price – $5,800 | DraftKings Price – $4,000
Mike Davis has put up good numbers in bad matchups since taking over the starting RB job in Seattle. He gets a great matchup this week against a Rams team that has given up 170 YPG to opposing backs over the past month.
Top WR Picks for Week 15
FanDuel Price – $8,800 | DraftKings Price – $8,400
How do you not have some exposure to Keenan Allen here? The Chiefs have been among the NFL’s worst secondary’s all season, and he and Rivers are absolutely shredding defenses right now. In Kansas City in December so as with all of your picks, double check the weather before locking him in (current forecast low 40’s, 10 mph wind, no precipitation).
FanDuel Price – $7,200 | DraftKings Price – $6,200
As they have with every team they have faced in the second half of the season, the Lions are going to shred the Bears secondary at home this week. Stafford is on an eight game tear, Detroit has to win out, and the Bears are giving up over 30 fantasy PPG to opposing receivers over the past month. Golden Tate and Marvin Jones should both be on your radar for week 15.
FanDuel Price – $5,100 | DraftKings Price – $3,100
Following back-to-back weak performances, Inman should see his ownership % plummet this week, but I think this is the week you should be all over him. The game flow at home against the 49ers (a game that he score a touchdown despite just 2 targets) and in Cinci just dictated the ball go elsewhere. That will not be the case against the Lions, who are strong in the slot, but struggle outside opposite Darius Slay. Look for Inman to have a nice bounce back week in a game where the Bears will need to score a bunch to keep up.
FanDuel Price – $4,500 | DraftKings Price – $3,700
If Cooper is confirmed out this week, Patterson is a solid GPP at the near minimum salary on both FanDuel and DraftKings. While he is yet to score a touchdown, Patterson has been efficient and effective when called on in the Raiders passing game. We know he has loads of big play potential, Oakland and Carr just have to find a way to tap into it.
Top TE Picks for Week 15
FanDuel Price – $7,700 | DraftKings Price – $7,000
Travis Kelce is our favorite tight end at the top of the position chart this week. Casey Hayward will stick to Tyreek Hill, which should mean a ton of targets for Kelce who has seen 21 targets and scored 34 fantasy points since Nagy took over play calling duties in KC.
FanDuel Price – $5,300 | DraftKings Price – $2,700
Adam Shaheen should be a solid value start against a Lions defense that gives up a tight end touchdown each and every week. At some point in the red zone they will put one of the inept Jarrad Davis, Miles Killebrew, or Tahir Whitehead on Shaheen and he will be standing alone in the end zone.
FanDuel Price – $4,700 | DraftKings Price – $2,600
If you want to throw a dart at a near minimum tight end Marcades Lewis faces a Houston defense that has allowed over 60 fantasy points to opposing tight ends on just 24 targets over the past month.
