The majority of our subscribers and readers play on FanDuel and DraftKings, but we have noticed that we are seeing tremendous growth across all of our Yahoo! content as well. With that in mind, we are going to be covering every NFL slate on Yahoo! in addition to our current FanDuel and DraftKings schedule.
For those of you that aren’t familiar with Yahoo Daily Fantasy here are the absolute key things you need to know:
- The main slate on Yahoo is all day Sunday, including the Sunday night game.
- Most of Yahoo’s contests are single entry contests, and their bigger contests are capped at 10 entries.
- Rake is typically 10% on cash games and 12% on GPP’s, but that number can vary slightly.
- The scoring system is similar to FanDuel’s and uses a .5 point PPR.
- Rosters include a QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/FLEX/DEF. You have $200 to build your team.
- Depending on that week’s matchups, the top players at each position tend to have a price somewhere between $35-$40, and the minimum salary is $10.
Yahoo Quarterback Targets for Week 4
Yahoo Price: $32
I think you will find quarterback pricing stiffer and requiring a larger share of your total team salary than on any other site, including FanDuel. The deeper we get into our prep for this week, the more we like the Atlanta/Cinci game. An out of conference matchup with two banged up defenses that were already giving up a ton of production. Ryan’s price does not reflect his production or the matchup, he’s currently QB3, in a plus matchup, but is priced as QB10 in this slate.
Yahoo Price: $25
If Trubisky is going to have any fantasy value this season, he will have to show something this week. If you start him and he puts up a dud against the worst pass defense in the NFL then you can write him off for the rest of the year. The Bucs were dead last in yardage, completion percentage, and sacks last season. This year they are again last in completion %, and are 2nd to last in yards per game. We like Trubisky with Robinson, but would also keep an eye on both Gabriel and Burton this week as well.
Yahoo Running Back Targets for Week 4
Yahoo Price: $34
Elliott’s price is actually considerably higher on Yahoo than on FanDuel or DraftKings. Even so, we are all in on him this week. Despite the slow start, Elliott is actually top 5 in rushing yards and rushing yards per attempt, and if you narrow it down to just RB’s with 40 or more carries he is 2nd in both categories. This week he faces the Lions who are dead last in rushing YPG and rushing YPC. We think the Lions win the game, but Elliott has a monster fantasy game here.
Yahoo Price: $20
Gio Bernard at $20 is an absolute steal. He is our RB7 this week, but is priced as the RB17 on Yahoo for week four. Atlanta has issues at linebacker and safety, which is a recipe for disaster considering this unit was already one of the better DVOA matchups for RB’s in the passing game. Carolina actually did a great job containing Geo in Charlotte, but he was still able to put up over 17 fantasy points. This week should be an easy 20+ points for Bernard in what is likely his last start before Mixon returns.
Yahoo Wide Receiver Targets for Week 4
Yahoo Price: $21
I apologize to everyone if I’m wrong about Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton this week… Hilton has now made all of our articles, but at $21 he is the highest priced receiver that I am starting in any of my Yahoo contests. For those of you that haven’t played on Yahoo yet, it isn’t quite as forgiving as FanDuel and DraftKings. If you started a combination of the players we recommended above, you have less than $20 remaining per position. I love it, but if you are someone that prefers to play on a site like Draft where the player pool is only about 25 guys deep, this Yahoo slate may not be for you. Hilton kills the Texans, this Texans secondary is completely and utterly talentless, and captain Luck is hungry.
Dearest mother —
The Texan men have reached the outskirts of town. However, they do not intend to attack until Sunday, as they must follow tradition and barbecue beforehand. Our unit will use this time to better prepare. We seek victory, mother. And we shall find it.

Yahoo Price: $20
Your secondary might be a dumpster fire if a 35 year old Brent Grimes is it’s savior. Given Robinson’s total target share, red zone target share, and the fact that the Bears will be without WR2 Anthony Miller, he is an absolute lock to have his best game as a Bear. The volume is going to be here with Robinson, but we also want to mention Taylor Gabriel. Gabriel will likely see a lot of M.J. Stewart on Sunday, and that is good news for fantasy owners. Stewart is giving up a ridiculous 2.55 yards per route covered and a 91% completion percentage. Gabriel is a home run hitter in one hell of a great spot.
Yahoo Price: $19
Shepard will line up in the slot vs P.J. Williams this week, which is a mismatch of epic proportions. Williams grades out as one of the worst corners in football, and will be picked on early and often on Sunday as the Giants play without Evan Engram. I don’t think the Saints will be nearly as productive in New York as they have been in their first three games, but the Giants are still going to have to throw the ball to keep up with Brees this week. Shepard is in line for nice volume in a great matchup, which is generally DFS gold.
Yahoo Tight End Targets for Week 4
Yahoo Price: $14
We are all about Tyler Eifert at his current Yahoo! price. Just as Gio will be a matchup issue for Atlanta who is without both safeties and Deion Jones, Tyler Eifert will likely be a big part of Lazor’s game plan this week as well. Eifert has seen his role in this offense trend up every week of this season, and last week he finally looked like his old self putting up 6/74 against the Panthers. We are betting he finds the end zone this week and at $14 he is a welcome value in this week four slate.
