Jaylen Samuels Impressive in Pittsburgh
For those of us that watched a lot of Samuels at NC State, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. This guy was one of the most productive college football players I have ever seen. Pittsburgh should be able to find a way to use him in just about every situation and he could become a touchdown machine in this system.
Calvin Ridley Turning Heads
Is there any dimension in which Sanu actually holds off Ridley? This may end being the steal of the draft if the Falcons can figure out how to utilize two of the more talented receivers in the league. Talk about a two headed monster at both the RB and WR spots… this Falcons offense could be scary this season. Ridley is currently WR31.
John Ross a Handful in Cinci
In a league that seems to have every team searching for guys that can play in space, Ross is the quintessential slot receiver. Just put the ball in his hands around the line of scrimmage on early downs and he will make big plays. Additionally, as we saw in Washington, he is a burner that can exploit man coverage and take the top off a defense.
Tyrod Taylor the Starter for Cleveland
As he should be, Taylor is looking like the clear starter for Cleveland. No way I see Mayfield beating him out as Taylor does everything Baker does, better. Obviously Mayfield will play this season, likely sooner rather than later, but I don’t think he will find a ton of success… Cleveland did it again.
Christian Kirk Battling for Number 2 Spot
Kirk is another rookie receiver that I think is going to carve out a massive role in year one. Even with Palmer retire, I think the Cards QB position will be massively upgraded in 2019. Kirk is a freak athlete that dominated the SEC in some of A&M’s toughest and most controversial years in the past decade.
Jay Ajayi is Philly’s Number One Back
This was clear the moment they let Blount leave. Ajayi will be the workhorse RB in Philly… so long as he is healthy. If his body can hold for a full season, Ajayi is undoubtedly a top 10 RB in this offense. That being said, his short career has been riddled with availability issues. At ADP 30, I think he is certainly worth the flyer in this range.
Kendrick Bourne Still Owning in 49ers Camp
At this point, Bourne has to be on your radar. This is going to be an explosive 49ers offense, and Shanahan has clearly stated that every position is open. If this rapport with Garoppolo carries over into the OTA’s I think Bourne could win the number two spot over Goodwin who is still more of a one trick pony.
