Review Summary

While on the surface there may appear to be few reasons to choose FantasyDraft over industry leaders FanDuel and DraftKings, if you dig a little deeper you will see exactly why their user base is growing by the day.

First off, they offer the lowest rake amongst all of the major daily fantasy websites. This means lower scores need to win, allowing you to win more consistently.

Additionally, as a smaller site they are able to cater to their player group on a much more personal level. Player sentiment towards FantasyDraft and their staff is overwhelmingly positive, because they truly care about every player they get.

Another reason you may enjoy FantasyDraft as a new DFS player is their beginner and intermediate only contests. These contests pit you against other players that are new to FantasyDraft. A beginner-only head to head contest on FantasyDraft (industry low 5% rake) is the absolute easiest way to build a bankroll in daily fantasy.

Does FantaysDraft Really Put Players First?

This is the million dollar question with really any daily fantasy product we test… are players the site’s number one concern? In an industry that one would assume would be 100% player-oriented, FantasyDraft may very well be the only website that truly walks the walk.

If you were to poll 100 DFS players and ask them what they want from their daily fantasy site you would get some combination of these answers: lower rake, contests for beginners that are easier to win, more single entry contests, and better customer support. FantasyDraft has knocked each of these out of the park.

Let’s start with the rake on FantasyDraft. Initially they lowered it to a flat 10% across all contests, 5%+ lower than the industry standard rake. They then decided to take it even further and lower the rake on all head-to-head contests to just 5%.

This move, to me, should be a new industry standard. Sites take zero risk with head to head contests. If they don’t fill both spots the contest is canceled. There is zero overlay in head-to-head daily fantasy contests, and the rake should reflect this.

Customer service has been something FantasyDraft has prided itself on since launching back in 2014. They are accessible on every major social media platform and maintain a presence in forums and at every industry event. If you have an issue while playing on their site, it will be resolved quickly and fairly.

FantasyDraft Review FAQ’s

Is FantasyDraft one of the risky smaller sites we often hear warnings about?

Absolutely not. FantasyDraft is extremely well funded, profitable, and abides by all of the regulations in every state they operate. This is not one of the smaller sites that doesn’t separate player funds from operating funds.

Does FantasyDraft offer big GPP’s like FanDuel and DraftKings?

Now this is a question we get constantly about any site that isn’t FD or DK. The direct answer is no, but it’s not a fair answer. The largest FantasyDraft contest most NFL weeks will have around a $50,000 top prize, but a much flatter payout structure and lower rake. The result is better odds to earn a big payday. A 20th place finish in this contest may pay out $1,000 on both sites, so why not play on the one with better odds, less pros, a flatter payout, and lower rake?

Does FantasyDraft offer college sports?

No. College football and basketball contests are not offered by any of the major daily fantasy sports websites. Check out our fantasy college football guide to find somewhere you can play this CFB season.

Does FantasyDraft use PayPal for deposits and withdrawals?

FantasyDraft offers both credit card and PayPal deposits, and offers PayPal withdrawals. PayPal is the absolute best way to handle all of your daily fantasy deposits and withdrawals. It’s fast, easy, secure, and keeps all of your funds in one place.

How do FantasyDraft contests compare to FanDuel and DraftKings?

FantasyDraft contests are very similar to what you would expect to see on any of their major competitors. Researching and building lineups on FantasyDraft should feel very similar to any other site you may have played on before. While roster structures, scoring, pricing, etc… is similar, each is also unique to FantasyDraft with subtle changes.

If you found this FantasyDraft review trying to decide if they are worthy of your DFS business, you will only get a resounding yes from us. This is a site that legitimately puts their players first with every decision they make. If you are looking for lower rakes, lower money lines, and less sharks, then FantasyDraft may be just what you are looking for.
