Point Guard Plays for Wednesday Night FanDuel Contests
FanDuel Price – $10,800
The Russell Westbrook/Steph Curry discussion comes up 3-4 times per week, and this is one of those nights where you can make an argument for both guys. The matchup points more towards Curry, but Westbrook has owned Damian Lillard… In fact Lillard has only held Westbrook under 60 fantasy points once, and he had 54 in that game.
FanDuel Price – $7,900
While we are on the matchup of 1 on 1 matchups, Kemba Walker has owned Elfrid Payton in their few meetings. In the last two games between the Hornets and Magic, Walker is averaging 36 points 7 assists and five rebounds. Charlotte is playing at a much faster pace this season than they did in the previous two seasons under Clifford, and Walker is arguably playing the best basketball of his career.
Shooting Guard Plays for Wednesday Night FanDuel Contests
FanDuel Price – $5,500
By now most of our regular readers know that I’m either playing James Harden or going with two value players at shooting guard. Matthews faces the leagues 7th fastest paced team in the Pacers, who are particularly soft against opposing shooting guards, giving up the third most FanDuel PPG to opposing shooting guards. Given the matchup and the way he has been playing over the past two weeks, Matthews is our top value SG play tonight.
FanDuel Price – $5,500
Another $5,500 shooting guard, Bazemore is our Hawks pick to take advantage of the matchup with the awful 76ers. Look for Bazemore’s activity to result in rebounds, blocks, and steals as he faces the league’s worst shooting team, last team in defensive efficiency, and league leader in turnovers. This is one of those nights where Bazemore can put up 35 FanDuel points in 25 minutes by just running the floor.
Small Forward Plays for Wednesday Night FanDuel Contests
FanDuel Price – $8,800
Washington has been awful defending the perimeter this season (dead last against SG and SF) and Leonard should be the obvious beneficiary here. The Spurs are not getting much production out of the SG and SF spots outside of Kawhi, so if the Spurs reach the 105 point line Vegas has for them, Kawhi is going to have a monster game.
FanDuel Price – $3,700
We whiffed on Bogdanovic on Monday, and if you can afford to pay up for Khris Middleton in this spot, I think you should, but if you are looking for a sub-$4,000 target, Bojan should be on your radar. Since seeing his minutes jump with the Hollis-Jefferson injury, he is averaging over 5x value and faces one of the leagues worst defenses vs SF’s.
Power Forward Plays for Wednesday Night FanDuel Contests
FanDuel Price – $6,300
We are betting on a major bounce-back night from Kristaps, who has only played 19 minutes in the last 6 days and should have his legs back for tonight’s matchup with Minnesota. There is no debating that Porzingis has the highest upside of anyone under $7,000 in this slate, but given his inconsistent play/minutes recently he’s hard to trust. This seems like a 35 minute night in a winnable, uptempo matchup for the Knicks.
Center Plays for Wednesday Night FanDuel Contests
FanDuel Price – $4,700
Len is hanging onto the starting Center position for the Suns, and it’s the one spot on the floor that the Warriors struggle defending. Len is rebounding the ball extremely well, and has a block in 9 straight games (15 total over that stretch). Look for him to get 20+ minutes, which is plenty of time to rack up rebounds and blocks against the uptempo Warriors.
