FanDuel NBA Strategy for Wednesday

[P]erhaps I’m turning into a DFS’er that just can’t do two things at one time. CBB could not have been worse yesterday, but my NBA lineups returned nearly 18 to 1 after a near 7 to 1 night on Monday. So, until I miss we are going to just ride this NBA streak out. It’s too early to lock in any picks, as there are several GTD’s on the slate for tonight, but here are my early favorites for tonight:

Point Guard Targets

John Wall – The Wizards have lost four straight and I’m betting Wall is ready to put them on his back and get the win in Minnesota tonight. Let us not forget his 21,17,4 60+ FanDuel point game against the ‘Wolves earlier this season.

Isaiah Thomas – Has score 61.2 FanDuel points in 52 minutes of playing time since joining the Celtics. Should continue to see his minutes rise as he spells both Smart and Bradley, cutting into both of their minutes.

Deron Williams – Back-to-back 7x value 40 point games, and will start and play big minutes again tonight. Solid matchup with Pelicans giving up the 23rd most points to opposing point guards over the last three weeks.

Shooting Guard Targets

James Harden – Taking the best player, playing at home in what should be a great game, on a night where there is plenty value to allow us to do so.

Giannis Antetokounmpo – Rebounds and assists are both down since the all star break, I’m betting they are back up tonight in a great matchup with the 76ers. Certainly prefer him to Covington or Thompson in this matchup.

Small Forward Targets

P.J. Tucker – Tucker has been hot, his usage numbers have jumped considerably since the trade deadline moves, and you have to feel good about the matchup with Denver.

Gordon Hayward – Gordie has crushed the Lakers over the past two seasons, and with what I think will be lower than average scoring tonight, I’m not afraid to take a gamble on Hayward… He’s got a 60 point ceiling against the Lowly Lakers.

Lance Thomas – As if we needed more value tonight, I think Thomas is a safe bet to push 20 points or 6x value for his minimum $3,500 salary.

Power Forward Targets

Derrick Favors – Favors is averaging 38.5 FanDuel PPG against the Lakers this season, and, with the roll he’s been on lately, I expect him to play even better tonight. I’m using him in several lineups, mostly with Alex Len and Tyler Zeller, but also with running mate Rudy Gobert.

Nikola Mirotic – In games without Taj Gibson, Mirotic is averaging nearly 29 FanDuel PPG. Two nights ago he had 37 in Gibson’s absence, and tonight faces a Charlotte team that has been getting slaughtered by opposing Power Forwards over their last 5 games (51.17 FanDuel ppg).

Brandon Bass – Even on a night where there is plenty of value at PF, he should have fairly high ownership %. I think you have to use him and lock in 4-6x value for his $5,000 salary.

Center Targets

Alex Len – Favorable matchup and we will continue using him until his price is corrected.

Rudy Gobert – Favorable matchup and we will continue using him until his price is corrected.

Tyler Zeller – Like Gobert and Favors, I feel good enough about Zeller and Bass to use them together, but with so many value options at the 4 and 5 for tonight, there is really no need to. The Knicks are currently the worst team in the NBA defending Centers and the 6th worst vs Power Forwards.
