We are down to our final full week of college football, and our last game day article of the college football regular season. These targets are coming directly from our favorite lineups for today’s GPP’s on FanDuel. We are just a couple hours from kickoff, so we won’t go too in depth with our explanations this week, but did want to share our top plays for week 13.
Top QB Plays for FanDuel Week 13 CFB Contests
Deshaun Watson – $10,100
We have been targeting South Carolina all season, so this is a dream matchup for a red-hot Heisman candidate QB. Clemson can’t run the ball right now, and USC can’t defend the pass, so get Watson in your lineups. I wouldn’t bother with a stack, it’s too hard to project and targets are always balanced between Peake, Scott, Cain and Leggett.
Paxton Lynch – $7,800
Given Memphis’ strength of schedule over their recent games, and the fact that they face a terrible SMU defense this week, FanDuel definitely went a little soft on Lynch’s price this week. Expect him to be highly owned, and rightfully so, he should have no problem reaching 4x against the Mustangs. If you want to fade this play, I think Matt Davis has a big game on the other side and keeps this game high scoring and close.
Top RB Plays for FanDuel Week 13 CFB Contests
Derrick Henry – $9,300
Similar to Watson, Heisman hopeful, red-hot, extremely favorable matchup. Auburn is giving up 183 YPG on the ground, but have faired better against the pass this season. Look for Henry to get to 25+ carries and to push 40 points in this matchup. I am using him with Ezekiel Elliott in several lineups, because I think there is a significant gap between them and the next tier of running backs, much more significant than at any other position.
Doroland Dorceus – $5,800
It would take a 5th grader about 30 seconds to figure out that Dorceus is totally matchup dependent, and then about 10 more seconds to realize that SMU’s 120th ranked run defense is a favorable matchup. I think Dorceus has another 28 point game in this high scoring matchup.
Top WR Plays for FanDuel Week 13 CFB Contests
Thomas Duarte – $6,000
We are staying under the $6,000 price tag with all three plays at receiver today… USC has the 5th worst pass defense in the Pac 12 and 107th worst in the country. Duarte has 3 25 point games in his last 7 contests, and this game has shootout written all over it. If you are looking to pay up for a WR, I like JuJu Smith to have a bounce back game for USC here.
Chris Godwin / Jamari Staples – $5,600
Staples has a higher ceiling but has been inconsistent, Godwin has a better matchup (Michigan State’s secondary has been decimated by injury) will see a ton of targets, but has a much lower ceiling than Staples. Despite the matchup, Staples has had two 30 point performances in Louisville’s last four games and both came against top 40 pass defenses.
Courtland Sutton – $5,800
Sutton’s price has dipped over SMU’s last three games, but he’s faced a fairly tough stretch of pass defenses. This week he faces a Memphis defense that ranks 125th against the pass, so look for him to get back to that guy that had scored 8 touchdowns in 7 weeks prior to last week’s game.
Top TE Plays for FanDuel Week 13 CFB Contests
Keith Towbridge – $2,400
With plenty of value on the board, I expect Jaylen Samuels to be the top owned tight end today, but I like the value in Keith Towbridge. Towbridge has looked better and better since returning from injury, and should play a big role in Louisville’s gameplan against a struggling Kentucky defense.
