DraftKings Week 11 College Football Targets for Late Games
What a week in DFS! A packed week of NBA contests, the opening night of college basketball, week 11 of NFL action, a nice Saturday morning slate, and the best late slate of college football action this year. DraftKings has 15 games on the slate, with a lobby full of huge contests, including several college fantasy football championship qualifiers.
Before we jump right into the targets for this slate, here is a quick look at Vegas’s highest team totals from this slate.
|Boise State||New Mexico||44|
Late QB Targets for DraftKings Games
DraftKings Salary – $8,000
Kiel has certainly reestablished himself as the Bearcats starting quarterback since returning from injury. Averaging 34.9 DraftKings PPG over his last three starts, this matchup with Tulsa is guaranteed to be a high scoring uptempo game, so look for Gunner to push 40 points again this week.
DraftKings Salary – $7,800
He isn’t even close to the runner that Seth Russell is, but Stidham did look very polished as a thrower against Kansas State last week. Having played Akron, Texas, Kansas State, Kansas, and Iowa State, I think Oklahoma’s defense is a little overrated right now. Tulsa runs Baylor’s system (HC is ex-Baylor OC) and they put up over 600 yards and 38 points on the Sooners. Baylor hasn’t scored less than 42 points in this matchup over the last five years, a stretch that they have averaged well over 500 yards and 45 PPG against the Sooners.
Late RB Targets for DraftKings Games
DraftKings Salary – $7,600
Looking at the running backs under $9,000 on this slate, and McNichols is the name that jumps off the page as being consistent, having a consistent workload, an extremely high ceiling, and a matchup that should allow him to reach that ceiling. He faces the country’s 110th ranked run defense in New Mexico on Saturday night, and the game is in Boise. McNichols is a safe bet to reach at least 4x this week.
DraftKings Salary – $4,200
Of the three Cinci backs, I love Boone this week in a matchup with Tulsa’s 109th ranked run defense. Boone is averaging a ridiculous 9.2 ypc this season, and has outproduced his fellow running backs on a weekly basis in this offense. This is going to be a high volume game, no team in the country runs more plays than Tulsa, which tends to have bigger effect on their opponents than it does their own offense. Look for Boone to have his biggest game of the season this week.
DraftKings Salary – $3,300
Muhammad has been the most effective, explosive, and productive back in the Cal offense this season, and was finally named the starter this week. Expect him to be rewarded with a 15+ carry game, which will mean 100+ yards against Oregon State’s 117th ranked run defense which is allowing over 220 rushing yards per game.
Late WR Targets for DraftKings Games
DraftKings Salary – $6,200
Consistency is king for me in this slate, and no receiver has been more consistent than the vastly underpriced Thomas Sperbeck. Since Rypien took over as the Broncos QB, Sperbeck has 7 touchdowns in 6 games, and has gone over 100 yards in 4 of those 6 contests. New Mexico is one of the nation’s five worst defenses and ranks in the bottom third in run and pass defense, so look for Sperbeck and McNichols to have monster games for Boise State this week.
DraftKings Salary – $5,600
Duarte is a monster receiver that is no doubt going to give Washington State fits in the red zone. He too has scored 7 touchdowns in his last 6 games, and this matchup is the most WR-friendly he’s seen over that stretch. I think Washington State scores enough to keep this game competitive throughout, so as long as he’s over his flu, look for Duarte to have a 100+ yard, multi-touchdown game. If he is unable to play, or is limited, Jordan Payton will likely have a monster game and becomes a top-level play.
DraftKings Salary – $5,400
Averaging over 20+ yards per catch, Tulsa is the perfect spot to target a player like Chris Moore. Given the targets, you are guaranteed to get big plays, which should result in a huge GPP performance. In the last two high scoring, uptempo games Cinci has played (at Houston and at Memphis) Moore has averaged over 33 DraftKings PPG. I like him to have a similar game here, especially if fellow big play threat Johnny Holton is out again.
DraftKings Salary – $3,500
If you are looking for a nice punt play at wide receiver, I like Nate Phillips and Malachi Dupre. Both are their team’s leading receivers and both have nice week 11 matchups. I prefer Dupre, because he has been so consistent in non-Alabama games this season. In fact he was averaging just under 23 PPG in the three games leading up to Alabama, and faces an Arkansas defense that is tough against the run, but has one of the nation’s worst pass defenses (275 YPG).
