U.S. Open on DraftKings – Contest Details
The DraftKings Millionaire Maker is the most exciting tournament in fantasy sports, and, in my opinion, PGA Millionaire Makers are one of the coolest ways to play fantasy sports. In total, the DraftKings U.S. Open event will have over 141,000 entries, paying out about the top 30,000 spots. So if the tournament fills, you are looking at around a 21% chance of winning. The entry fee for this tournament is $20, but you can win free entry by winning or placing in one of their satellite events.

How Fantasy Golf Works
Fantasy golf is a perfect marriage between traditional fantasy sports and golf. Pick your team of six golfers from the pool of U.S. Open contestents. As you can see, the per-hole scoring adds up to way more than simply picking the winner. What does this mean for your strategy? To me, it means you need to ensure that you have six golfers that are going to make the cut. So I’m generally not paying up for the big names, but rather targeting consistent golfers that have golfed the Chambers Bay course well in recent years.
The PGA Tour website has great statistics on how every golfer that is in this year’s tournament has done in the U.S. Open recently as well as how they have golfed the Chambers Bay course. Additionally you can find useful statistics like fairways hit in regulation, average putt/hole stats and just about any other statistic you can think of. Along with Vegas odds to win, it’s just about the only resource you need to research and build a DraftKings PGA lineup.
